I have a 56k modem, but I only connect @ 28k. WHY? How can
I connect @ 56k?

Great info in the reply. My question is: Are there any
issues with XP that will give a very wide range of modem
speeds? I've had the new Gateway in for service, ran new
lines in the house, had phone company out, and I do not
get this wide range with other client machines on my ISP
network. HELP? Is XP a culpret?
