No,- different issue.
On my client computer (XP), when I right click on C-drive
or any other drive, I don't have an option
called "Sharing and Security...".
I do have those options on the XP host.

Hi there, just posted a small query myself, but while I'm here maybe I can
help. Now when you say ' the option for sharing simply does not exist', can
you be clearer as to where you looked. When I share one of my drives, I do
as follows:-

1. In Explorer or My Computer, right-click and got to drive properties.
2. Locate tabs: General, Tools, Hardware, Sharing, Security... Choose
"Sharing" tab.
3. On Sharing tab: Hit "new Share" button and specify share name
4. Modify permissions accordingly. I choose allow everyone and use NTFS file
security to cover the stuff actually on the drive.

Do you see any of this when you do 'properties' for the drive?

Cheers...
