Thanks for the advice Steve. Ok, basically, I've been messing around
with my settings all this time, the way it stands now is:
In the Wireless Network Connection, I get a 'Signal Strength:
Excellent'
However,
My desktop finds my laptop along with the other computers in
WORKGROUP, but cannot access it - Error Message:
\\Highlander is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to
find out if you have access permissions.
The network path was not found."
On my laptop, the only computer it finds in WORKGROUP (I've set all
the computers to use the WORKGROUP) is itself.
I'm pretty sure it's not the network settings that are wrong, as when
I use the wired network my laptop connects just fine - I only have
this problem when using the wireless network. Then again, maybe it has
to be configured differently?
(At one point, the roles I just described were reversed, and my laptop
was able to find all the WORKGROUP computers - but not being able to
access them - while my desktop was unable to find my laptop. That
changed when I switched the Wireless network card that my laptop was
using - same model exactly, I bought 3 of them, as I was planning to
have 3 laptops connecting wirelessly to my desktop.)
