i went to another computer with win 98-- walked my hdd to that and setup
mine as slave. copied the rb005.cab into the sysbkup in that computer--did a
scanereg /restore to that cab --had a few errors as basically the file was
from a different configuration and with different software-- finally landed
in safe mode-- ran regedit- exported my 4 entries as reg files copied to my
hdd-- shut down -removed my hdd-restored the other system to its
original --got back to my system and hope to find the time to merge the reg
files today. it should work as it worked last time and everything was fine
till the virus attack.
sorry if i bored you with all this but what a lot of trouble.
