All,

Last week I got rid of DSL and switched back to dial up(I know, I know, but
I couldn't afford it anymore). Now I have no Internet access whatsoever???
I have tried everything I can think of and I am sure almost every setting in
IE that can be tweaked has been done also. I am logging onto work network
and trying to access the Internet that way. BTW, I cna check email at work
and download newsgroups, etc...just not the darn (WWW)internet??? BTW,
I have tried Doug Knox's tricks and they didn't work??

Thanks for any and all help!

George

Did you set IE's proxy setting if your corpnet uses a proxy?

It's also possible that your corp doesn't allow that kind of access.

Ken,

Thanks for your reply and yes the corp does use a proxy setting and I have
all of those set and am allowed to use any and all access. The simple fact
is that I switched off DSL and created a dial up and now I have no Internet?
Since I have gotten one reply in the past three days, the next time I work
from home I will contact the helpdesk here and see if they can sort it out
for me as I have tried everything including reloading IE as Doug Knox
suggested in another post. Thank you for the reply Ken!!!

This is fixed now as I had to use corp DNS setting and WINS settings for it
to work.
