Trying to update software throught Windows update.
Patches download OK, but many times the installation
never goes to completion, just sits there saying it is
installing.
For example 820291 for XP has been sitting at the same
point for over an 1/2 hour. Have let other installs sit
all night, and they never completed.
Could Microsfoft not give an idication of time to install
as well as time to download?
Can I assume when the installation has not completed
successfully, that the patch has not been implemented?
