Multiple network connection problem

I have a notebook with a wireless network. In Network
Connections is shows Wireless Network #3, last night is was
Network #4. When I insert the wireless card the computer
will flash a quick blue screen of death and reboot. I have
only one wireless connection, why do I have number 3, 4
showing in Network Connections? Is there any way to delete
all these connections and start over at #1. Every so often
I can boot and actually connect, but as soon as I shut down
and restart the problem still exists.
