View Full Version : Password control problem

I have two computers networked. In order to permit file transfers
between the two machines I had to establish passwords for the single
users shown on each machine.

I used TweakUI to circumvent the password nuisance when booting the
machines by setting both for Autologon.

One small problem reamains. On one of the machines only, after the
screen saver has taken over and I want to resume use of the computer,
I must click on the icon for the sole User and enter the password to
get back to the Desktop.

On the "good" machine moving the mouse or hitting any key restores the
Desktop immediately.

There is a setting in Power Options to check if you want a password
requested when coming off Standby, but I do NOT have this checked.

Any help will be much appreciated.

On the affected machine, go to the Screen Saver tab and uncheck On resume,
show Welcome Screen, or On resume, password protect, as appropriate.

Thanks for your suggestion. It fully solved my problem. Sorry I am
so late in getting back to you. I was on vacation.
