upon attempting to set up a network connection i am
encountering the following error:
Error 711: Cannot load Remote Access Service Connection
Manager.
i have followed the directions for resolution according to:
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 330163
however, upon attempting to 'start' the Remote Access
Service Connection Manager i get the message 'Error 5:
access denied" and the service fails to start. i have full
administrative rights on the computer so i don't know
what's going wrong.
i've tried running 'system restore' on a number of restore
points. the process seems to go fine up until the last
moment following reboot and log-on when the message
'restore was unsuccessful' appears
help.
