View Full Version : New boot drive install?

Is there an easy way to migrate to a new boot drive? I'd like to replace my
60g with a 160g. I looked into the file and settings transfer wizard, but
that would require me to re-install XP on the new drive. I'm hoping there is
something either built into XP or a third party utility that I can use to
just take everything that is on the existing disk and move it to the new
disk.

Thanks,
Bill

Some manufacturer's ship a diskette with new drives, for just this purpose.
If your's didn't come with one, check the manufacturer's web site download
area and see if they make this type of tool available for download.

Symantec's Ghost program, or Partition Magic will allow you to do this, but
they're not free.

You can also check out a software named "PC Relocator"
