recycle bin icon

I recently installed windows xp. I formally had windows
98. when I installed xp, I lost my recycle bin icon, how
do I get it back on my desktop display.

Try this:
Right click on blank area of Desktop. Select Properties. In dialog box,
select Desktop tab>"Customize Desktop" bar (in lower-left). In next dialog
box, click on "Restore Defaults" bar in lower-Right, then OK. If no bin,
then try same path, but this time highlight one of the bins, and click on
Restore Defaults. I restored another missing Desktop icon this way.
