View Full Version : Sharing Permisions don't seem to work on XP

I have an XP machine connected to a workgroups network. I
use it as a file server. I want to share some drives with
certain people on the workgroup. I have set up groups
and users and made the users members of these groups.
However, file sharing does not work untill I allow
the 'Everyone' group to have the permissions. Allowing
everyone access does not meet my security requirements.
The above procedures works without giving 'Everyone'
permissions on my other file server running windows 2000
server.

There are differences between setting permissions in a server/domain
environment and a client/workgroup environment.
