I have windows xp and outlook express 6.0. I am trying to
set up outlook to send and receive my aol email. I have
made it my default email, but I do not know exactly what
internet connections to change such as my lan, pop, and
so on. How do I find out this imformation? When I try to
send email I get this error message.

The host 'aol' could not be found. Please verify that you
have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'home',
Server: 'aol', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

You cannot set this up. AOL doesn't use POP/SMTP.

AOL has a web-based mail interface which you can access outside of
the AOL software. You can access it by going to
http://webmail.aol.com/. If you want to keep your messages with
your AOL software, leave them on the server after reading them on
the web.

Outlook Express is not Outlook. You should see how many Outlook
Express users get raked over the coals for posting in an Outlook
newsgroup. Those newsgroups are partially moderated. I do not
think that an AOL question would have gone over well in one of those
news groups either.
