Error Message

If I right click on an object in My Computer (i.e. A
drive) I get the error message: "Windows Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience." For example, I can't format a
floppy disk. I have a Rube Goldberg "work a-round", but
that is not exactly satisfactory. Help, anyone! Thanks.
