View Full Version : Taskbar scrolling issue

I can't seem to figue out how to fix this problem. On my
computer at work, my taskbar is all on one line. The
more programs I open the more buttons show up below and
the smaller those buttons get. This works out fine for
me.
When the person that sits next to me opens more programs
her button sizes remain the same and she gets some up and
down arrows that will let her scroll to the next page of
the taskbar. She hates this and we're trying to figure
out how to get her taskbar to look exactly like mine
where everything is all on one line and the buttons just
get smaller.
Any help any of you could be is appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure (haven't tested), but
Right click Taskbar>Properties>Taskbar tab
Fourth tickbox down says: 'Group similar taskbar buttons'
Click 'Apply' and OK.

Thanks for responding, however we don't like the items
grouped together. I don't have mine grouped and they are
all staying on 1 screen. thanks for suggesting this as a
solution. Have a great day!

Amanda,
Do you both have the same number of programs open? On my machine if I open
more than 10 programs, without grouping similar programs, I get the
scrolling arrows. If it stay at 10 or less they are all on one page.
Grouping them allows for a few more to be opened if they are similar but it
eventually will still go to 2 pages. Unfortunately I have not found anyway
to change it.

Sorry but isn't that the point, *untick* the box (like it is on yours,
unticked (yes/no))?
