Hello all,
My question is this, I work in an multiplatform
environment. We have around 2000+ users that login to a
Novell NDS platform, however, we do have an NT Domain
that is necessary for one of our reporting programs, only
500 or so users need to access this. We are using the
Stored UserNames and Passwords function in XP, under
UserAccounts>Manage My Network passwords....(which is not
the best way I know, but we are working on this did not
design it). The problem is this, every 90 days, the end-
user's Novell Account password changes, and they have
been taught to re-sync the XP Account password with the
new Novell. Just about every-time (not always) this
happens, the end-user loses all of the Stored UserNames
and Passwords that had been working for the last 90 days,
they in turn have to call our Help Desk. It takes a few
minutes and we have them working again....but how do we
adjust the Stored information without having it disappear
entirely. I know that there is a machine user profile
issue here somewhere...any help would be appreciated.
