_ office 97 on windows XP

I have office97 installed on a Windows XP PC.

I have a access DB that calls the word object.

it works on windows 98/ME
it works with domain administrator users
it Does not with a normal domain user.

I tried: modify rights to the office folder.

Any ideas.
