Hello all,
I've got a WinNT4.0 Server set up with a modem pool that
I'm trying to connect to from a WinXP Pro machine.
This WinXP machine replaces a Win95 machine that
used "Microsoft Modem Sharing" to create a COM3 connection
to the modem pool. COM3 was then used to set up the modem
and then the machine could dial out.
I'm looking to do the same thing under WinXP but cannot
find the modem sharing capability there.
The only article I saw relating to this describes a
process that uses a NETMODEM command at the DOS prompt to
create the COM port. I tried this, and it worked to some
extent by creating the OCM port, but WinXP does not
recognize this port when I attepmt to set the modem up on
it.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Herb
