I had the same problem when a faulty driver was installed.
What i did was goto Event Viewer (Start > Control Panel >
Adminisrative Tools > Event Viewer )
Then i clicked Application in the left pane and then
double clicked the error message in the right pane and it
told me which driver was at fault.
I then just did a quick search under google for a
replacement and installed it and i had no further
problems!
Hope this helps
