Hi
I am using a laptop with a built-in wireless and a Ethernet. My XP
joins a domain with a DHCP server. It works fine. Since I also want to
config a static IP so I can connect to my home network.
but strange, ipconfig/all does not show the Alternate IP that I have
config, ping does not work.

does it mean that I have to log on to the local laptop not the domain
so the Alternate IP will be assigned to my Ethernet ?

thanks
lx

The alternate configuration uses one or the other. In ipconfig it will
show the one that it is using.
