I just purchased a new laptop (WIN XP HOME) along with a wireless router and
wireless card. I set up a home network. The broadband internet access
(cable) works fine for both my PC (running WIN ME and connected to the
router via a cat5 cable through one of the lan ports) and the laptop. I can
See the shared files on the PC from the laptop and I can use the PC's
printer from the laptop. I can not, however, access the laptop' shared
files from the PC.
When I set up the home network on the Laptop using the XP home network
wizard it said that it could make a file on a floppy to use on the PC not
using XP to help set up the network. The new laptop however does not have a
floppy drive. Should I get an exteranl drive so I can create this disk? I
tried to save it to the hard drive and e-mail it to the PC but it will only
save to a removable drive.
Thanks,
