First thank you for your time.

Now my problem, everytime I try to go microsoft to check
for Windows Update's, I get the following message: " Your
Current Settings prohibit running ActiveX Controls on
this page. As a result the page may not display
correctly."

I'm running WinXP Home edition including service pack 1.
Enternet Explorer is Ver 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920,
Version Update SP1;Q810847;Q813551.

Other things I have done, disabled my Macafee firewall,
remove and install Explorer, .net, and have also made
sure all my security setting are at default. Plus I have
reset security sttings to medium low for Internet and set
every option setting to "Enable". this still does not
allow me to connect to Microsoft Windows Update.

Help
Larry

Unknown,

I did mention that in my posting. Any other ideas would
be helpful.

Thanks
