Hello
Well I did read on that a while back and not to sure that
will work unless your scanner has that feature to support network
interface.

That's not right -- there's nothing built into Windows XP that
supports scanner sharing. What topic are you reading in the Help
files? What exactly does it say?
Scanner sharing is only possible if the scanner manufacturer provides
software for that purpose.
Sharing a scanner isn't as useful as sharing a printer. You need to
be physically present at the scanner to operate it, so you're within a
few feet of the computer that it's connected to. You can scan images
into a shared folder on that computer and access the images from other
computers on the network.

Here is the snippet i read in the home networking section
of help and support
"Share a printer, scanner, and other hardware. You may
have a printer that is connected to a computer in another
room. With home networking, you can print to this printer
from your computer. You no longer have to copy a file
onto a floppy disk and take it to the computer that has
the printer. "

Thanks, Andy. I found that snippet under the topic "Home Networking"
in the list of "Overviews, Articles and Tutorials". I've reported it
to the networking folks at Microsoft and asked them to check into it.

Here's the response from Microsoft: that's a known error, and it's
documented in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Possible
