I am glad I am not the only person with this question.
In my case, I have 2 computers at my office
(micronetwork), my laptop computer and a seperate home
computer. I just purchased a BUSlink 1GB USB BusDrive
(ya know the tiny hard drive that can plugged into any
USB port and put in your pocket to travel around with).
Now I have a small construction company and my files are
mostly .doc and .xls files with the occasional .pdf and
others. I was wondering if there was a program that
would allow me to sychronize the files from my network,
to my laptop and eventually to my home PC, using the
BusDrive as my transporting media. I would be looking
for a program of a reputable software company. I am
afraid of shareware programs. I do not have a big
company and I am worried about losing my files. Any help
would be extremely appreciated. By the way I run Windows
XP Pro on all my systems. Now maybe XP Pro even does it
w/o the use of other software but I have yet to be able
to figure out how!!! Sorry for the long message. Thanks
again to anyone who can help a computer novice!!!

Briefcase seemed to solve this problem perfectly until I tried to open a
file from an application WHILE the briefcase was opened (i.e. when you can
the see itīs content like an ordinary folder). The application told me that
the briefcase was already IN USE. I had to close the briefcase in order to
open a file from within. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and so I changed to a shareware
named TRAYBACKUP. Very fine until now...
