I purchased a new pc with XP Pro and am configuring it on
a peer to peer network with all other pcs running win2000
Pro. I can see across the network to all of the other pcs
and even access them except for one. (from the XP pc)
The pc I am unable to access is the acting server.
Actually I can go to it but there are only two folders
that I can access on that pc and their security is set
to "everyone" because they are community folders. All
other folders and C:/ drive kick out an error that I don't
have permissions...etc..see administrator.

I have looked at your previous solutions regarding XP
connectivity and do not have the firewall enable on the
lan and have enabled NETBIOS over TCP/IP. I still am
unable to connect to the acting server which is the pc I
was have access to on the lan because of my accounting
software resides there.

Do you have any other ideas on what this could be. I
should mention that my older pc that I am replacing with
the new XP and runs win2000 connects to everything okay
and always has. But the new pc is basically being setup
identically to the old so I can slide new one in my area
(once it is configured) and format old outdated pc. Also,
that I can connect and access all other pcs through the XP
pc except for the acting server. This has to be a security
issue somewhere. I've spent literlly hours on this
problem and would appreciate any help.
Thanks!
