Background picture

Why won't my jpeg picture work as a background. I already
have one of my pictures as a background and now I can't
change it. If you look at my settings it shows my new
picture. It did pop up for a second upon boot but the
old picture is still there as the desktop. I know this
is a silly issue, but it is driving me nuts trying to
figure out WHY? - thanx

aside from trying it again, check and make sure you have the proper user
rights to do this..
