I need to hook up two laptops running WindowsXP home for
file and wireless connection sharing with a crossover
cable. File sharing is a must, but we would also like to
share wireless if possible. I've tried several different
senerios in creating a new network connection and none
seem to work. If anyone could lead me to a tuorial on
how to set it up manually, I would appreciate it.

Thank you

Windows XP should automatically create a connection in the Network
Connections folder for each computer's NIC. You don't need to create
a connection yourself.

Running the Network Setup Wizard on each computer should make all the
necessary settings for networking the computers and sharing files:

XP ICS - Starting the Network Setup Wizard

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean by "share wireless".
