Under Windows98, there is an option to "minimize all windows" on the
desktop.
Does this option exist on XP?

Right-click the task bar and click on 'Show the Desktop', or use winkey + m

If you're looking for the Quick Launch shortcut, how to turn on the toolbar
it belongs to has already been explained by Jo Anne. Just wanted to add
that if you don't get the QL toolbar right away or you don't see the Show
Desktop icon, right click the taskbar and remove the check next to Lock the
Taskbar. Resize the toolbar so that all icons are showing. Lock the taskbar
again if so desired.
