Network Problems after upgrade

I am attempting to upgrade to XP Pro from Me. My computer
is currently connected to the internet through a home
networking router. I am student and move my computer
during the school year where I am connected to my school's
network. After upgrading to XP I lost all internet
capabilities. I uninstalled XP and the internet started
right up. Any suggestion of how to fix this problem??

Network settings sometimes get scrambled in an upgrade. If there are
problems, un-install and re-install the network card.
