View Full Version : Keeps saying Network Cable Unpluffed!

This may not help, I am far from an expert, but a similar
problem occured to me. I think the problem may be due to
a fire-wire adapter (either on the motherboard or on the
graphics card) appearing as a network adapter. Windows XP
(in my case) then installed a bridge between that and the
NIC which caused the computer to constantly report the
network cable as being unplugged. Simply removing the
network bridge. Why this happended and even why a
Firewire adapter may need to a bridge across to a network
is beyond me as is any more passive solution. It worked
in my case though.
