Hi,
I am in the process of deploying out some Dell Dimension
PCs. 4400 and 4550 models.
The 4400 came preinstall install with Windows XP which was
upgraded to SP1A. The 4550 came installed with Windows XP
w/SP1. This was also upgraded to SP1A.
I run SysPrep using on both PCs by just clicking "RESEAL"
and having the option of not reset the grace period
checked. The SysPrep works fine on the Dell 4400. When
the 4550 system comes up one of the screens prompts the
installer to change the Administrator password. They can
just click "skip" and it will skip the screen and keep the
password that was on the image.
Why is this screen coming up on the 4550 and not the
4400? I am using the SysPrep version that is suppose to
be used with Windows XP SP 1A.
Anyone else encounter this? Is it a setting on the PC
that I am overlooking?
Thanks........ Tony
