XP Migration tool...

Not sure if this is where to ask this or not, so if not, please direct me to
the proper place? :)

Ok, running XP Home on a 433Celeron right now, with an olde 4gig HD... have
a new 40gig drive I want to install, but am hoping to do so w/o having to
reinstall XP and everything else. Does the migration tool work? Are there
any tricks, etc. I need to know? Have to admit as well that I haven't kept
up with all the updates, etc... such a slow connection at home(still phone
only, no high speed available out in the boonies where I am!*g*) that it
just takes so long for downloads to complete.

Anyway, am I barking up the wrong tree here?
