Sharing applications

I have two computers networked by a router. I share files
back and forth. It is possible to share applications. For
example, can I open up outlook on another computer and
work as though i was on that computer?

Nope, Outlook cannot be shared over a network unless Microsoft Exchange is
installed and then all you get is to share the outlook database, not
actually share the program.
