Serial Port

I am having trouble accessing my serial port that in 98
and ME supported my Palm HotSync.

I can't do the HotSync operation and get an error that
says:

"The selected port, COM1, is not available at this time.
HotSync Manager will open the port when it becomes
available."

Any help is appreciated,

It might be disabled in your BIOS.

Ensure that you have XP drivers installed for your Palm device..
