Single Clicking

Go to control panel and click on the Folder options icon.
In the folder options window on the General tab (that's
the first tab) look towards the bottom for the section
marked 'click items as follows' The first option here
is 'single click to open an item'. Enable this by
clicking your mouse in the round button on the left of
the option. When you have enabled the option click the
Apply button followed by OK. You should now be able to
open an item with one click of the mousr.
