We have upgraded to winXP Pro on our 2000 network, and are
now experiencing very slow logons. The log on seems to
hang at the "applying personal settings" window. I think
DNS is configured correctly, however Im not exactly sure.
Please help. Here is what is actually happening:

userenv
USERENV(2a8.2ac) 08:49:02:265
CuserProfile::CleanupUserProfile: Ref Count is not 0
USERENV(2a8.2ac) 08:49:02:265
CuserProfile::CleanupUserProfile: Ref Count is not 0
USERENV(2a8.2ac) 08:49:02:265
CuserProfile::CleanupUserProfile: Ref Count is not 0
USERENV(2a8.4c0) 08:49:36:453 ProcessGPOs: The DC for
domain PIE is not available.
aborting
USERENV(2a8.13c) 08:49:51:468 ProcessGPOs: The DC for
domain PIE is not available.
aborting

Again, I have looked at the DNS setup and it looks
correct, but to be honest Im not a DNS buff. Any help
would be appreciated.
