How do I find out if my computer has an ethernet card?

From your Desktop...
Right click My Computer
Select Properties
Select Hardware tab
Select Device Manager
Look for an entry for Network adapters
Click the little "+" sign and the list of installed NICs will be displayed

Click Start/Control Panel/double-click the System Icon/click the Hardware
Tab/
click the Device Manager Button. If you have a network card it'll show
under
the Network Adapters branch and it'll say something other than Dial-Up
Adapter.
