I'm trying to create an archive of various newspaper
articles. I've been cutting and pasting the articles into
Microsoft Word, opening a separate file for each article.
The files are then in the My Documents folder but this
folder is getting crowded with all the articles. Is there
an easy way to create and name a separate folder, such as
"Newspaper Articles" ?

You can create as many subfolders as you want within My Documents. Or
create a separate folder outside of the My Documents structure. Personally,
I use subfolders in My Documents since so many programs default to this
location when using the Save dialog.

To create a new folder - click in the folder where you want the new folder
to go. Then right click and select New> Folder. Or click on File in
Explorer's menu bar and then New> Folder. A new folder will appear. Name
it. Move your documents to the folder. Word allows you to add and remove
other locations in its Save Dialog box. May want to use that option and add
your new folder.

rkarlin:
I personally copy the article, paste to word, save as(file name) and save to
folder. When in My documents, right click, chose new, chose folder, name the
folder appropriately, enter, save.
I hope this helps.
