Start Window not right

When I click on the start icon in Win XP, the lower left
hand section of the menu is blank, and I have to run my
mouse over that area to have the lists appear. It does
this every time. Any idea why it is doing this, and how
to fix it?

It could be the way you have setup your start menu. Right-click start, properties,
customize, general tab, change the number of programs.
