Does anyone know which update this was so I can remove it?

WASHINGTON, May 27 - Microsoft Corp. withdrew a security
improvement for its flagship Windows XP software after it
crippled Internet connections for some of the 600,000
users who installed it. Microsoft officials said Tuesday
the update - which had been available as an option since
Friday on its "Windows Update" Web site - apparently was
incompatible with popular security software from other
companies, such as Symantec Corp.

If you go online to the windows update page and select "View Information
History" You'll see what you installed and when. Then I assume it's just a
matter of an add/remove programs. Did you download/install it since Friday
when it was released ?

One of the updates was installed on the computer over the
weekend. It's only affecting one computer in the house
(we have 3). It suddenly stopped being able to
communicate outside the house. It sees all resources and
drive shares inside but nothing outside. And it had been
working fine for the past 18 months. So I assume it is a
result of this security update that my son added onto his
machine.

Hi,
I'm experiencing a similar/the same problem: everything
visible on the local machines, ping outside is ok, but IE
or applications using IE-related services can't get access
to outside addresses.
Can someone give me a hint how to resolve this ?
How to "uninstall" this bad update ?

Patrick
