I have come across a problem when networking two xp home
addition pc one of which I am using as a server which is
fine.
The problem come when the client pc is in a database
program.
Then it is not being used for some time the network
connection appears to go to sleep and there is a massive
delay in working again.
This problem dose not occur with win95, win98, win ME,
win NT4 or Win 2000.
The PC's can see the network and will logon to the
database application given time.
The networks are using a hub/switch with TCP/IP protocol
and are obtain an IP address automatically
As a temporary fix I have mapped a network drive which is
working
Has anyone ells had this problem and if so can you give
me detail of your setting used to fix this problem
thank you all for your help in advance
