Screen Saver

Has anyone seen this before?

I'm running WinXP Pro SP1, but I've seen this on WinXP
Pro with no SP. I have my screen saver set for 10
minutes. After 10 minutes the screen flashes like the
screen saver is coming on, but it goes back to the
desktop. If you wait another 10 minutes the screen saver
kicks on.

I thought this was a problem with the PC where I used to
work, but now I've moved on and my new PC does the same
thing.

It may be related to some other software running in the background.
