Using Windows XP Home, is there a simple method of disabling an (always on)
DSL connection. I'd like to have an Icon on the Desktop that I can maybe
right-click on to toggle the connection on-and-off as needed. I've read-up
alittle on hardware profiles, but I think that requires a log off then back
on under different hardware profiles. I don't see this as a solution.
Also, how does a DSL connection behave when one simply logs-off without
completely shutting down?
What happens during standby or hybernate?
I'll need a good Firewall I know. Everyone else says the safest thing is to
shut down the system and I really don't want to do that 4-5 times a day.
Thanks for any help!
