I have a PC running Windows 98 and a new PC running
Windows XP. I have installed network cards in each, and I
know for a fact that both cards work, since I have
previously used them to network the Win 98 machine and my
old Win 95 machine with no probs. However, now the two
computers won't even ping each other. I have had two tech-
support friends look it over and they are both stumped.
Any idea whats up?

Thx

can the computer ping 127.0.0.1? if yes, can the computer ping it self ip?
if yes, are all computers in the same ip range? or post the result of
ipconfig /all here.
