Using the network setup wizard in Windows XP pro I have
made several network connections.
I want to remove these networks and begin again.
If, on the desktop, I click on the My network places/
Entire network/ Microsoft Windows network box I can see
the names of these networks, called Workgroup, Internet
and Wireless home.

What do I need to do to remove these networks?

many thanks for your help

Those are workgroup names. If there are no computers belonging to the
workgroups, the names will automatically disappear in time. There's
no explicit way to remove them.

you don't need to reboot
my understanding is that you created some network connections that you want
to delete if this is the case ( what I suggested applies)

If I understand Alan's question correctly, he wants to know how to
delete a workgroup from the Microsoft Windows Network box. That box
appears when I click My Network Places | View Workgroup Computers |
Microsoft Windows Network. It shows the names of workgroups that have
been defined on the network. Please forgive me if I've misunderstood.

It isn't possible to delete a workgroup name from the Microsoft
Windows Network box.

Selecting a workgroup and pressing Delete doesn't do anything.
Right-clicking a workgroup doesn't give a Delete option. Try it and
see!
