Very slow "View workgroup computers"

Hello out there.

I am having a problem with my Windows XP Professional machine. Every time
(!) I click on "View workgroup computers" it takes about half a minute until
the workgroup is displayed. This problem does not occur on Windows 98
machines and a Windows XP Home machine in the same network. The network uses
TCP/IP with dynamic IP addresses (DHCP via router).

Unfortunately, that slow browse just sort of comes with the turf.
I had the same problem but over time it did seem to be minimized.
