making computer not dialing up because I have a cable modem

while trying to connect to the internet I did something
wrong now everytime I try to log on it wants to dial up
please help this moron out

If you are connecting through your LAN

Open Internet Explorer> Click on Tools>Internet options> Connections and
then click on do not dial a connection. and click on lan settings and check
automatically detect Proxy and follow th wizard. I hope this help
