I've just installed Zone Alarm and it's asking me do I
want to let the following service accept connections to
the internet:-

Generic Host Process for Win 32 Services.

Can anyone tell me what this is and whether I should
click yes or no in response to this?

Thanks,

Allie

Uninstall Zone Alarm if you're using XP. XP has it's own firewall built in.
You'll have to configure it. Go to Help and Support to find out how.

Edwin, XP's built-in Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) doesn't have
configuration options like ZoneAlarm and other commercial firewalls.
You can't configure it to allow or disallow specific programs to
access the Internet. By design, it blocks file and printer sharing,
so you can't use it on a LAN. It's for use only on a direct modem
connection to the Internet.

Allie, I recommend that you keep ZoneALarm. The process that you
asked about is part of Windows. Say "yes" to it. For more
