I don't know why or how this has been happening, but a .con file
extension has been automatically added to all files that I save to disk
or try to open from attachments in email. This happens no matter
what---even if an Excel or Word document. It's easy if it is obvious,
such as with an Excel or Word document, as I simply delete the .con
extension (ie: Documentname.Word.con) but there have been files I cannot
open. I am not a neither a newbie nor an advanced computer user.
I have ACT installed (database program) and .con is related to ACT.
When I click the option either open or save to disk, the message says
that I have chosen to download or save a file of type:
application/octet-stream from mailbox:///Documents%20and %20set......
I must have done something wrong to have this happen, but what?
