I have a computer that I upgraded from Win 98 to XP. It
seems I jumped from the frying pan into the fire. I know
this is a common problem, and I know there is a suggested
solution...Been there, done that, to no avail.

When I try to install a dialup it is grayed out and wants
to only let me establish a broadband. Since where I live
I have to go toward town to go hunting, DSL and such are
not available. How do I get XP to accept the dialup?

Did you try this solution?

Dial-up Modem or PPPoE Option in New Connection Wizard Is Unavailable
